McKnight’s Pinnacle Award Honors Professionals at the Top
United Hebrew of New Rochelle President & CEO, Rita Mabli, was honored with a 2023 McKnight’s Pinnacle Award in recognition of her work in setting standards, driving change, and providing inspiration and guidance to others in senior care over the course of her 40+ year career.
More than 200 aging services professionals, business partners and supporters were at the Ivy Room in Chicago on March 10 to celebrate a who’s who of industry veterans during the inaugural McKnight’s Pinnacle Awards ceremony. “You’ve blazed the way, you’ve raised the bar, you have made us all so very proud to work with you as you bring a bright, warm light to this profession,” said emcee and McKnight’s Long-Term Care News Executive Editor Jim Berklan in his opening remarks.
A trailblazer in the world of eldercare, Ms. Mabli has spearheaded the growth and transformation of United Hebrew of New Rochelle, one of the New York metropolitan area’s largest multi-service campuses of comprehensive senior care. Through her vision and tireless efforts, United Hebrew has thrived, greatly expanding its services, investing in its infrastructure, and modernizing its campus. United Hebrew is now a campus of comprehensive supportive care services where 600 staff members serve 800 residents and clients daily.
“It is fitting that Rita has received this recognition for setting the standard because she exemplifies the commitment, compassion, vision, and leadership needed to improve the lives of the aging population,” said James Staudt, United Hebrew board member and partner, McCullough, Goldberger & Staudt. “For over 40 years, Rita has dedicated herself to eldercare and every day she inspires over 600 staff members to be outstanding in their caregiving. Rita’s culture of compassion infuses the entire United Hebrew campus, and indeed, sets the bar high.”
For her part, Ms. Mabli said, “It’s an honor to receive this distinction from my peers in the industry. The recognition is, of course, reflective of our hard-working team members, who set the standard of care for seniors in Westchester and beyond. I’m grateful to McKnight’s, which provides important news, information, and resources to the senior care sector nationwide.”
Under Ms. Mabli’s leadership, United Hebrew is consistently named among the “Best Nursing Homes” in the nation by U.S. News and World Report. Its short-term rehabilitation center earned the USNWR “High Performing” rating, the highest possible. United Hebrew’s assisted living and memory care facilities have garnered national quality awards from the American Healthcare Association/National Center for Assisted Living. These honors represent the top-notch care given to every resident.
The Pinnacle Awards program is a joint effort of McKnight’s Long-Term Care News, McKnight’s Senior Living and McKnight’s Home Care national media brands, which serve leaders on the higher-needs skilled nursing setting, senior housing, assisted living, and in-home personal care, home health, and palliative care. The honorees were selected by a national, independent panel of skilled nursing, senior living and home care leaders.
