We Never Forget Who You Are Inside

Memory Care in Westchester County, NY

For those with mild, moderate, or advanced stages of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, our mission is to provide a safe, caring, and enriching environment for residents in our specialized memory care “neighborhoods”—home-like settings where seniors with memory impairment receive exceptional care and live life to the fullest.  We offer distinct memory care settings on our campus that meet each person’s individual needs.

Nightingale Neighborhood, located within our skilled nursing facility, for those with greater healthcare needs.

Phoenix Memory Neighborhood, located within Willow Towers Assisted Living, provides care based on each individual’s special challenges in a secure environment.

The Griffen Activity Program, held within Willow Towers Assisted Living, addresses the needs of individuals with mild memory impairment. Participants engage in daily activities designed for cognitive and social stimulation.

Willow Gardens, our newest facility on our campus, is Westchester’s only nonprofit assisted living residence  catering to those exclusively with Alzheimer’s and related dementias.

When you move your loved ones to one of our memory care neighborhoods on our campus of comprehensive care, you can be assured that they will not only live in a real home, where they feel safe and cared for, but will retain their quality of life, purpose, and dignity. We always respect who they are inside.

Enriching Activities

We know that memory loss affects individuals differently. All of our memory support neighborhoods include therapeutic activities that are designed to help residents revive memories, feel connected, and experience joy.

At the same time, our programs foster feelings of accomplishment, boost self-esteem, and help residents maintain social skills. Backed by the latest research in memory care, our licensed and certified therapists create customized activities designed for physical, cognitive, and social stimulation, such as music therapy, art classes, exercise, and pet therapy.

We value each senior in our care, and take time to learn individual preferences in order to provide personalized memory support.

Specially-Trained, Compassionate Caregivers

Our staff have been specifically trained to care for the needs of adults with memory impairment, and receive ongoing education to ensure your loved ones will benefit from the latest and best practices in memory care.

Our team members love what they do. They are committed to caring for seniors with respect, dignity and compassion. They strive to minimize any frustrations, and create opportunities for personal success, that encourage positive emotions, and celebrate daily accomplishments.

There is no one-size-fits all approach to dementia care; we work collectively to tailor our support to fit each person’s individual needs.

Keeping in touch

At United Hebrerw Geriatric Center, we offer frequent family and caregiver meetings to keep families informed and involve them in our care plans.

“When my mother’s condition worsened, I was so grateful for the option to keep my mother on the United Hebrew campus. The staff made the transition from assisted living to a secure dementia unit as easy as possible. The care is so unbelievable, it eases my mind.”
